About Sonye Locksmith

Sonye Locksmith Sonye Locksmith is an award-winning, self-taught visual artist. To showcase his Universe-gifted talents, he chooses paint as his medium. His primary art style is abstract, but he enjoys exploring the boundaries of his comfort zone by dabbling in other painting styles. He uses life as his source of inspiration, and while soul searching through art, Locksmith came to a realization: Art heals him in ways that no human can.

He lives by the mantra, Without imagination, there can be no evolution, and he spends a large portion of his time admiring and supporting the work of fellow visual artists. Paul Jackson Pollack, Salvador Dali, Jean Michel Basquiat, Van Gough, Sebastian Pierre, Peter Dorante, Kevin A. Williams, Christopher Clark, Cris LaNiese and Mckinson Souverain are the artists Locksmith finds most inspiring.

Locksmith is a graduate of Bethune Cookman University in Daytona Beach, FL, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in communications.

In 2019, after four years of painting, Sonye Locksmith entered his first international juried art exhibition. His other accomplishments are as follows
